Ottoman Silver Coin Set – Struck in Egypt | Multiple Denomination
An original set of Ottoman silver coins officially struck at the Cairo Mint during the late 19th century, under the reign of Sultan Abdul Hamid II. The set includes multiple denominations ranging from ½ Qirsh to 10 Qirsh, all minted in high-grade silver with purity ranging approximately from 83% to 90%, depending on the year and denomination.
Each coin features the Sultan’s Tughra (imperial signature) on the obverse, while the reverse bears the inscription “Struck in Misr” (Egypt) along with the Hijri date. The coins are adorned with intricate floral engravings and clear mint marks that reflect the prestige and precision of the imperial minting standards.
A historically significant and regionally rare collection — highly sought-after by numismatists for its Egyptian provenance and exceptional craftsmanship. Presented in a distinguished display case and preserved in very good condition.
