Preowned – Vintage – A rare protocol timepiece by the Swiss house TEL, historically renowned for its specialization in royal and presidential presentation watches during the first half of the 20th century.
This watch was crafted as a special royal edition for His Majesty King Farouk I, King of Egypt and Sudan, and was officially presented as a state gift to the Kingdom of Libya in 1940, during the reign of King Idris Al-Senussi (may he rest in peace).
The watch features a full stainless-steel case measuring 42mm, powered by a manual-winding movement, with a dial bearing the portrait of King Farouk alongside the Libyan flag of that era.
A rare piece that embodies royal history, political significance, and museum-grade rarity, standing as an authentic witness to the diplomatic relations between monarchs and nations of that period
