The Story Behind the Crown
Presentation watches were central to Hashemite protocol. Pieces bearing the royal crown or the King's cypher were presented to officers of the Jordanian Armed Forces, to ministers and to visiting heads of state — never sold commercially. Separate ladies' editions were produced for the royal household, and commemorative issues marked the 1977 Silver Jubilee, the Battle of Karameh and successive accession days.
Because production runs were small and distribution private, surviving examples with original dials and paperwork are scarce.
