Military Edition Watches
Armed forces, air force and police watches issued with unit insignia — authenticated, documented, delivered worldwide.
Inquire on WhatsAppMilitary editions are the most under-appreciated corner of Middle Eastern horology. Unlike royal presentation pieces they were issued to serving officers, worn on duty, and rarely kept as objects — which makes a surviving example with an unrefinished insignia dial considerably rarer than its production run suggests. Golden Age holds one of the widest cross-country runs in private hands.
The collection spans the Ultra Rare Rolex 1976 Datejust issued exclusively to the Saudi Land Forces and the Rolex 1500 Date made for the 1970 Landing Forces, a 1980 Rolex Date and a gold Arabic Day-Date commissioned for the UAE Armed Forces, Breitling B-1 and Aerospace chronometers for the UAE Air Force, three Rotary Royal Saudi Air Force squadron editions of 1995, a 1964 Rolex Date for the Kuwaiti Army, a Breitling Emergency for the RAF's 28 Squadron, and Iraqi, Jordanian and Omani service pieces. Every one carries documented provenance.

Why Insignia Dials Matter
A crest on a dial is a document. It identifies the issuing service, narrows the date to a specific procurement, and ties the watch to a chain of ownership that a civilian reference can never have. Gulf services placed orders through their ministries in small batches — a squadron, a graduating class, a single command — so the numbers involved are often in the dozens rather than the thousands.
Collectors should be careful here: insignia dials are the single most frequently faked category in the region. Golden Age verifies dial printing under magnification against period examples, checks serial and reference ranges against the procurement date, and inspects the movement before any military piece enters the collection. We do not list aftermarket crest dials at any price.
Military Edition Watches — FAQ
Which armed forces editions do you carry?
Saudi Land Forces (Rolex 1976 Datejust), Saudi Landing Forces (Rolex 1500 Date, 1970), Saudi Armed Forces (Rolex Datejust 36mm), Royal Saudi Air Force (1980 Rado and three Rotary squadron editions of 1995), UAE Armed Forces (1980 Rolex Date, gold Arabic Day-Date), UAE Air Force (Breitling B-1 and Aerospace), Kuwaiti Army (1964 Rolex Date), RAF 28 Squadron (Breitling Emergency), and Iraqi, Jordanian and Omani service pieces.
How do you tell a real insignia dial from a fake?
We compare dial printing under magnification against confirmed period examples, verify that the serial and reference range matches the procurement date, confirm the movement caliber is correct for the year, and check the case and bracelet for the wear pattern a genuinely issued watch carries. Insignia dials are the most faked category in the region, so we reject far more than we buy.
Are military editions worth more than civilian references?
Usually yes, sometimes substantially — a documented service-issued example can command several times the civilian equivalent. But the premium lives entirely in the documentation. An undocumented crest dial is worth less than a clean civilian watch, which is why we sell only pieces whose provenance we can evidence.
Do you have military medals and insignia too?
Yes. Alongside the watches we hold Ottoman military decorations from the 1333H era, Hashemite and Iraqi orders, Syrian and Egyptian merit medals, a 1940 Palestine Police cap badge from the British Mandate, and squadron and service badges from across the region.
Can you ship a military edition watch worldwide?
Yes. We ship insured via FedEx, DHL and Aramex worldwide with provenance documentation, and offer personal hand delivery for high-value orders. These are historical collectibles, not controlled items.
Do you buy military edition watches?
Yes, we acquire genuine documented examples and are particularly interested in pieces coming directly from the families of serving officers. Message us on WhatsApp with photographs and any paperwork you hold.
