UAE Royal & Armed Forces Watches
Timepieces commissioned by the Emirates — Sheikh Zayed editions, government protocol pieces and UAE Armed Forces watches.
Inquire on WhatsAppSince the founding of the Union the UAE has commissioned protocol timepieces on a scale few states match. Our collection spans Van Cleef and Concord editions connected to Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Ebel and Tissot pieces made for the UAE Government, a Tudor Special Edition United Arab Emirates, and a deep run of Armed Forces watches — the 1980 Rolex Date commissioned for the UAE Armed Forces, a Rolex Arabic Day-Date military edition in gold, Breitling B-1 and Aerospace chronometers made for the UAE Air Force, and a Movado Protocol Edition of 2007.
These were never retail products. They were issued through the Diwan, the Ministry of Defence and the Air Force, which is why surviving examples with intact crest dials are scarce. Golden Age authenticates every piece with documented provenance and delivers insured to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and across all seven Emirates in 5 to 7 business days.

The Story Behind the Falcon & the Crest
Emirati protocol pieces fall into two families. Royal and government editions carry the state emblem or a ruler's cypher and were presented by the Diwan to ministers and visiting heads of state — the Ebel UAE Government edition of 1990 and the Concord Presidential Emirati edition are typical. Military editions carry unit insignia and were issued to serving officers: the UAE Armed Forces Rolex of 1980, the UAE Air Force Breitling B-1 and Aerospace, and the 2007 Movado Protocol Edition.
Military-issued examples in particular were worn hard, so complete pieces with an unrefinished crest dial and original bracelet are much rarer than production numbers suggest. Value tracks the issuing body, the maker, gold content and documentation. Golden Age verifies every piece against period references before it enters the collection.
UAE Royal & Armed Forces Watches — FAQ
What is a UAE Armed Forces watch?
A watch commissioned by the UAE Ministry of Defence or a service branch and issued to officers, carrying the armed forces or air force insignia on the dial. Our examples include a 1980 Rolex Date commissioned for the UAE Armed Forces, a Rolex Arabic Day-Date military edition in gold, a Breitling B-1 Chronometre made exclusively for the UAE Air Force, and a Breitling Aerospace UAE Air Force edition.
Do you have Sheikh Zayed watches?
Yes — our Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan material includes a 1998 Rare Official Release Van Cleef piece, alongside Concord Presidential Emirati and Ebel UAE Government editions from the same era. Each carries documented provenance.
How much is a UAE royal or military watch worth?
Value depends on the issuing body, the maker, gold content, dial condition and paperwork. Full-gold Rolex military editions and Sheikh Zayed presentation pieces sit at the top of the range. Send photographs on WhatsApp for a current valuation.
Can you deliver to Dubai and Abu Dhabi?
Yes — 5 to 7 business days via FedEx or DHL with full insurance across all seven Emirates. The UAE applies 5% VAT on imported goods and the buyer is responsible for duties on delivery. For acquisitions over $25,000 we offer personal hand delivery to Dubai and Abu Dhabi at no additional cost.
Are these pieces authentic?
Every piece is authenticated against period references — serial and reference numbers, movement caliber, dial printing under magnification, case construction — and ships with our Certificate of Authenticity. We do not list reproductions or aftermarket crest dials.
Do you buy UAE royal and military watches?
