Longines Rare Set Iraq 1985 President Saddam Hussein

This is rare and complete set by the renowned Longines, dating back to 1985 and produced as part of the special editions associated with Iraq during the era of the late President Saddam Hussein. The dials of both pieces feature an 18K gold portrait of the President, alongside the historic inscription: “Made from the weapons of the martyrs of Saddam’s Qadisiyah.” This inscription is documented across examples from these commemorative Iraqi editions of the period. A museum-grade set comprising both men’s and ladies’ watches. What makes this set particularly exceptional is its remarkably preserved condition. Kept in storage and retaining its original configuration to a very high degree, it remains today a rare historical example of Iraq’s official commemorative watch editions.
